I never was at Madame Toussads. I was at the palace and something else. But I want to go there

Virginia, for sure, five days are not enough to experience all of Londons splendour.

What I enjoy especially is the humour of the people. The flair of the city. Old and dignified, but alive and kicking on the other hand. All the parks. The Highstreets. It is the whole thing that captivates me.

Don´t know where to begin. What do you know about?

I think Madame T. is somewhat overrated. Try the Rock Circus instead. That is fun. Same wax puppets but only musicians. Very cool.

The parks a really great. And I was so itressted in the London Dungeon. And the city is so clean. And the people are so neat!

Wow, you should have seen London in the mid Nineties. You needed a shower every evening to get the ashes and car exaust products out of our hair. And they had those black waste sacks. Lying on the streets.

But you are right the people are really charming.

A really typical story happened to us while doing christmas shopping one year. We were at Hambly´s one of the biggest toy stores in the city.
Everthing cowded. We were in the elevator. Door opens, a hag with a baby in a buggy tries to step in. Rides over the feet of people, shouting, cursing. Then she sees, we are going up. She wants down. Same episode in reverse.
After she is gone. Door closes. All people look at each other in silence.
Then an elderly lady says in this typical tone: "And merry christmas to all of you, too"

We were lying on the floor. It was just great.

to us happend really funny things. my teacher was look after our buscarts. and she had ask the busdriver five times. And he said everytime its in your hand. She culdn´t understand it and so we stanmd at the station half an hour. Then the busdriver gives her a new buscard. It was really funny. A german busdriver would screams at her.

I´ve been to the US, several years ago.

Been to the East Coast. New England states, and also to Californa. San Francisco is a hell of a city.

To be honest, I don´t need to go there again. The country is wonderful, but the people ...

I prefer Canada. Much more european in the attitude of the people.

My ex-Boyfriend was from Canada, he was very nice but he couln'd speak english at all! *g*

Amelia. You are right, generally, americans are very friendly, but most of the time it is business facade. They smile in your face but you can read "fuck you" in their eyes.

Certainly there are many nice people over there. I am working with some of them daily. But in general they are always very superficial and I don´t enjoy that in people.

California is great. We´ve been travelling from San Francisco down Hwy 1 to Los Angeles. Wonderful country. Beautiful coast.
